Eric Mourier, b. 1939, Danish graphic designer. Eric Mourier was trained as a lithographer in 1961 from The Graphic College (from 2008 Denmark’s Media and Journalism College) specializing in graphic design. He then taught at the Grafische Højskole 1966-81 and since then got his own drawing room with his wife Mette Mourier.
Together they produce some of the best Danish book design. Loyal to the tasks, they draw the classic design at its very best. The specialties range from the very large illustrations to very small stamps for Post Denmark.
They have followed developments in graphic technology from offset to digital printing with educationally adapted teaching materials, for example the books From idea to print (1977), Typography and layout on the screen (1989) and Book design (1999).
Along with his wife, Eric Mourier was awarded to Knud V. Engelhardt’s Memorial Scholarship in 1999 and received the Association for Bookkeeping Works Honorary Award in 2001.
