Velvetyne workshops are places for typo-graphic surprises, sessions that follow an experimental and documented approach, allowing for co-creation and co-education spaces to exist outside of beaten paths, guided by the openness of libre and open-source tools.
Our workshops question signs and language through typographic tools and methods that concern the collective. We aim to develop the right to err, to nurture amateurism, the “almost-there”, risk taking, accidents and uncertain results. We consider typography and its signs as a living, malleable matter to explore and to share rather than a finished form.
We don’t teach, we take part into collective elaboration.
