Les Ouvrières is a variable typeface originally created by Laure Azizi in 2023.

Ants swarm through the forest in search of succulent crumbs. Sometimes hungry, sometimes fighters, they adapt their formations along two variable axes to create six fats, so they can adapt to any situation. They guide us through the winding galleries, perhaps all the way to the queen?

Designed during an initiation to variable typography by Eugénie Bidaut at the art school of La Cambre in Brussels, this organic typeface is assembled and constructed by thousands of workers ants. Their hard work brings to life thoses animated glyphes, ligatures and inclusive ligatures that compose this big anthill.
